In partnership with Centro Hispano, we developed Camino Monarca—a multi-lingual digital resource designed to support underserved immigrant communities in the U.S. Navigating the complexities of shifting immigration guidelines can be overwhelming and dangerous; Camino Monarca provides a streamlined, authoritative source of constitutional rights information and emergency legal contacts.

The Solution: High-Accessibility Engineering

Our team focused on creating a "zero-friction" experience for users who may be in high-stress situations or have limited internet access:

• Offline-First Wallet Integration: We engineered a custom Apple Wallet Pass that allows users to save their constitutional rights information directly to their mobile device. Once downloaded, the pass is accessible anytime without an internet connection, ensuring the user has critical information ready during a physical encounter with authorities.
• Localized Multilingual Support: Recognizing the diverse backgrounds of the immigrant community, we localized both the web platform and the wallet pass into six languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, French, and Somali. * Static Performance: We built the site using Vue.js as a lightweight static application, ensuring near-instant load times and high reliability across all mobile devices.

Specific Use Case: The Digital "Know Your Rights" Card

• The Problem: During an interaction with authorities (such as ICE), users may be too stressed to remember their rights or unable to access a website due to poor signal or data limitations.
• The Solution: The Camino Monarca Wallet Pass acts as a digital "Know Your Rights" card. It includes clear, legally-vetted statements regarding 4th and 5th Amendment rights that can be shown directly to authorities through a phone's lock screen, effectively removing the barrier of language and memory during a crisis.
